July 4th Forecast? Sunny! ... Or, Not. The Forecast Has Changed ...

As of Sunday, July 1, the National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms on July 4th ... we'll check back early this week to see if it's changed again.

The forecast has changed and the National Weather Service now says there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms on July 4th:

Independence Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Predicting the weather almost a week in advance can be tricky, as anyone who knows anything about the weather can tell you, but the advance forecast for July 4th is out and it's calling for a sunny day, with a high of 84 degrees!

That's big news for Madison and other towns that have a big day planned that day. In Madison, there will be a , and then . The start to the unofficial July 4th holiday in Madison will be Saturday, when the will be held.
