Obituary: William Bach

Bill Bach is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lucy-Ann, and their children, and grandchildren. He will be missed.

 

William Bach of Madison passed away July 27, 2012. A well-known member of the community and an ardent volunteer, he left his mark on Madison in a wide variety of ways, according to his obituary:

Moving to Madison, Connecticut in 1999 did not lessen his desire to serve. As an historian, Bill headed efforts for funding and construction of the town clock on Main Street and the James Madison Memorial Garden and statue that now stands as a landmark in front of the former Town Hall. Bill also Chaired the Madison Republican Town Committee for three consecutive two-year terms.

A wake and his funeral will be in New Canaan:

A wake has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, 2012, 4-7PM at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan, CT 06840. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan, CT. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
