Neighborhood Music School invites parents with young children to participate in a free sample Early Childhood Music & Movement class on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10 to 11a.m. at the Nathanael B. Green Community Center in Guilford. They can experience a “Teddy Bear Rhythms” class or a “Making Music” class for fun, learning and musical interaction.  Early Childhood Program Head, Dorota Xeller, will be available to answer questions about the classes, which are enrolling now for summer.  The free classes are just a sampling of the many Early Childhood classes available through Neighborhood Music School.
NMS Early Childhood Programs are designed for children ages 6 months to 4 years old (for ages 3-4 both with and without parent).  The developmentally-based classes enhance motor, aural and social skills, laying the foundation for future music and dance education. Classes are also available at NMS in New Haven.
For full descriptions of the Early Childhood Classes available, along with the wide variety of offerings for children and adults, visit the Neighborhood Music School website at www.neighborhoodmusicschool.org.  Online registration for Summer Classes is now open. For questions about the Early Childhood program, contact Dorota Xeller, Early Childhood Department Chair, at 203-624-5189 x 18 or dxeller@neighborhoodmusicschool.org
The Nathanael B. Green Community Center is located at 32 Church Street in Guilford, CT. All Classes will be in the Faulkner Room.  For Directions, visit www.neighborhoodmusicschool.org/index.php/about/locations
