Madison Historical Society Welcomes New Executive Director

New executive director for Madison Historical Society

I had the pleasure of meeting the new Executive Director of the Madison Historical Society, Katherine Davis, on her first official day on the job Wednesday.  She is clearly a very talented and energetic addition to MHS, which has been doing great things in recent years including a superb exhibition on Madison in the Civil War and a memorable ceremony for the unveiling of a plaque this summer honoring Capt. Frederick Lee’s role in the War of 1812.

A native of western Massachusetts, Katherine received her undergraduate degree in art history from Hollins University, and she holds a master's degree in Historic Preservation from UMass and a graduate certificate in Public History.
