Join Madison Neighbors In Opposing Construction On A Flood-Prone Site
March 5 Variance Hearing to Build on one of Madison's most flood-prone lots
On Tuesday March 5 at 7:30 PM at Madison Town Hall, owners of several other Madison properties are seeking a variance to build a new house on one of the town's most flood prone lots. This lot, known as 151 Middle Beach Road is often inundated during high tides and has been deemed unbuildable by the Town (see recent photo at high tide on February 27, 2013) It would infringe on and degrade Fence Creek wetlands while diverting flood water to other properties.
