Brown Bands Together at Relay for Life

Brown Middle School teachers and staff are banding together to support their colleague, Reid Gerritt, during this weekend's Relay for Life of the Shoreline at Walsh Intermediate School in Branford.  Mr. Gerritt is a music teacher at Brown Middle School, and he has taught hundreds of Madison's music students during his long tenure as a music teacher and band director.

Mr. Gerritt was diagnosed with cancer last December.  In order to show their support while he undergoes treatment, the faculty and staff formed a Relay for Life team, Brown Bands Together.  The entire staff is participating in the event, either by wearing T-shirts purchased as part of a staff fundraising effort, by walking at the relay this weekend, or by raising money at the American Cancer Society's website. 

Tomorrow, the school community will wear blue to support Mr. Gerritt and the Brown Bands Together Relay for Reid team.  If you would like to make a contribution to support our team, you can do so at:
