Reading Bootcamp for Struggling Readers

This is a private one-to-one remediation scheduled by the reading therapist and the client to fill in the gaps in skills uncovered by the pre-instruction testing.  Typically, lessons in the home of 90 minutes on 5 consecutive days can address in the most intensive and efficient ways, the deficiencies in the child's understanding of sound-symbol relationships, syllable types, and syllable division rules in both the Anglo-Saxon and Latinate halves of the English language.  Post-instruction testing assures this result that can also be shared with the child's instructors.  Without the distractions and obligations of school to attend to, the student can often concentrate at an entirely more efficient level.
