Madison Historical Society Presents Lee Lecture Series Exploring Local Roots

The Madison Historical Society will present the first in its series of Frederick LeeLectures on Sunday, January 12 at 4 pm at Memorial Town Hall, 8 Meetinghouse Lane in Madison. This year's series is entitled "Local Roots: An Exploration of the Past, Present, and Future of Shoreline Agriculture." The first lecture will feature James T. Powers, author of Saving the Farm: A Journey Through Time, Place, and Redemption. Mr. Powers, former curator of the Dudley Farm Museum and former President of the Dudley Farm Foundation, will discuss the history and preservation of the iconic North Guilford farm.  The series will continue with lectures on February 9 and March 16.  Tickets are $5 for adults ($4 for MHS members) and $2 for children 10 and over.  For more information, please call 203-245-4567 or visitwww.madisoncthistorical.org
