Lions International Peace Poster Contest (Madison Exhibit)

The Madison Lions Club is proud to sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest among students in
Madison’s middle schools.  This art

contest encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace.   The theme of the 2013-14 Peace Poster Contest is "Our World, Our Future."

On January 11, 2014 at 10 AM, the Madison Lions will hold a reception at Scranton Library to honor the students and their families.  Madison’s Deborah Heinrich will be the guest speaker and will present awards.  Snow date is January 18, same time.

The
judges were local accomplished artists Beverly Schirmeier, Jay Babina, and Sara
Nebel.  The winners are:  Bella Vitale, 1st place; Noelle
Dougherty, 2nd place; Catherine Chimbolo, 3rd place; and
Honorable Mention Connor Bergère and Libby Licari.
