The Shoreline Ringers

Join us as Music at the Meetinghouse presents a handbell Christmas concert with the Shoreline Ringers this Sunday, December 16th at 3:00 pm!

The Shoreline Ringers, directed by Jane Nolan, is a top level community handbell choir ringing five octaves of Malmark handbells and five and one-half octaves of Malmark handchimes.  They rehearse in Ledyard but have ringers from all over eastern and central Connecticut.  They have played at Carnegie Hall at the "Christmas Time in the City" concert and also with the Coast Guard Academy Band's Christmas program.

The goal of the Shoreline Ringers is to promote handbell ringing as a legitimate musical art form while educating audiences and increasing their knowledge and appreciation of handbell music through concert performances.  The group was established in January 2006 and began giving concerts in June of 2006. Being community based and not associated with a particular church allows the group more flexibility in music selection which ranges from classical to popular. Shoreline Ringers highlight a variety of techniques and rhythms in their ringing and promise fun for all.
