Free Friday Film Series - "Bowling for Columbine"

This month’s offering is "Bowling for Columbine,” Michael Moore’s 2002 documentary that ponders the question:  “Why are we as a country so violent?”  Moore, an NRA member, offers no prescriptions, rather, he ponders possible causes including American attitudes towards fear and safety, economic disparity, our history of global intervention, and mass-media.  The film is as vital as when it first came out, and in light of the Newtown massacre, bears seeing again. A discussion follows the screening.  For more information go to www.shorelineunitarian.org or call 203-245-8720.
