See our national symbol in the wild on this popular land-based excursion with The Audubon Shop owner Jerry Connolly. This is not a boat trip.
Bald Eagles make their way down the Connecticut River from Canada every winter in search of ice-free fishing. We'll observe these majestic birds from a variety of locations along the river. Other birds seen along the route include other birds of prey, songbirds, several kinds of ducks, and an occasional owl or two!
Jerry has been leading Eagle tours on the river for the past 26 years, often sell out. Get your tickets early!
$20.00 includes a soup & sandwich luncheon at Oliver’s Tavern in Essex following the field trip.
Reservations must be made in advance.
*Meet in the parking lot of the shop at 7:50am - or - meet at first stop (Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam) at 8:30am.
