You Can Help Friends Of Hammonasset Clean Up The Damage To Hammo ...

Now that most of the snow is gone (finally!) we can help park workers clean up from the historic Blizzard of 2013 on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 10 a.m. Here's what you need to know to help ...

Dear volunteers,

As many of you are aware, the snow storm did significant damage to the evergreen trees at the Park.

For those of you who can help, we plan to meet 3 days next week @10AM on Tues, Fri. & Sat (3/5,3/8,3/9) to cull, cut and leave by the roads, damaged branches so that Park crews can put them in the chippers.

Gloves, hand saws, loppers, warm drinks as desired, muscles and good humor will be greatly needed. Stay as long as you are enjoying yourselves. We will meet at 10AM at the Camp Ground parking lot (immediate right after passing through the toll booths). Park workers really need our assistance!

We plan to begin at the north end of the Park and work our way southward.

Should you arrive late, you can call us for directions @203-887-8225 or 203-675-7717.

Hope you can join us any or all days. Thank you.
