DHHS Grads Celebrate Las Vegas Style, Complete With The Little White Chapel And A Spa

Do you know where your DHHS graduating senior is?

Chances are he or she is at the high school, living large at Nite in Hand, where the theme this year is Las Vegas night. Dedicated volunteers spent much of this year, and many, many hours over the past few days to get everything ready for the big night. The photos in the gallery were taken Wednesday as volunteers worked to get everything ready.

Following a deluge of huge proportions late Thursday afternoon, Madison school officials called off the graduation originally scheduled for Thursday evening. The thunderstorm dumped large amounts of rain, partially flooding town roads, leaving at least one motorist stranded in deep water, and making the town green soggy and unsuitable for large amounts of foot traffic. Graduation will take place Friday at 10 a.m. instead.

But Nite in Hand went on as planned. Here is a quick look at some of the festivities the kids will be enjoying later tonight:

  • A little white wedding chapel
  • A tattoo parlor
  • Spa Eleven, complete with manicures, pedicures, lounge chairs, and a serenity fountain
  • A TV relaxation tent
  • A massage tent
  • A roaming magician
  • A hypnotist
  • Games including basketball, tip a troll, tic tac toe, cover the spot, gone fishing, and potty toss

At 3:15 breakfast will be served, at 4 p.m. there will be a farewell raffle, shortly thereafter the kids will be leaving. And, after a few hours of sleep, they will be graduates.
