TV Tips For March 25: Shark Tank, Confessions: Animal Hoarding, Silent Library

So Many Channels, So Little Time

Friday March 25

Shark Tank, 8 p.m., ABC

I was severely chastised by a reader after last Friday’s What’s on Tonight made mention of this show. Here’s what he/she wrote in an email: “Shark Tank is same format and company as Dragons Den (Sony) and the format is from Japan (Called Money Tigers.) Brits bought (not ripped off) the Japanese format, changed name to Dragons Den. Americans bought format, changed name to Shark Tank. Get you (sic) facts right or at LEAST google what you are writing about before you post something.” Consider me educated.

Confessions: Animal Hoarding, 10 p.m., Animal Planet

“A woman's heard of goats and pit bulls pushes her family to the brink of foreclosure.” I would think, if one were to have both a herd of goats and a pack of pit bulls, that one would be pushed to brinks other than foreclosure. But that may just be me.

Silent Library, 9 p.m., MTV

Taking the advice of the Shark Tank emailer, I Googled this. According to Wikipedia, “Silent Library is an American television game show which airs on MTV. The series is based on one of the segments in the popular Japanese variety show Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!. The show is also similar to the UK television program Fist of Zen.”  Happy now?
