Traffic Stop On Route 80 In Madison Leads To Arrest, Discovery Of Narcotics, Police Say

Madison Narcotic Detection K-9 Gwen Called In To Help

On Wednesday, April 6, the Madison Police Department arrested Nelson Quinones of 183 Filmore Street, New Haven, police said

An investigation was conducted during a traffic stop of Quinones’ vehicle on Rt 80 East of Summer Hill Road. Madison Narcotic Detection K-9 “Gwen” subsequently found 5 grams of Cocaine and Marijuana in the vehicle, police said in a prepared release.

Quinones was charged with following:

  •  21a-279(a) Possession of Narcotics
  • 21a-279(c) Possession of Marijuana

Quinones was processed on the above listed charges and was released on a $500.00 Cash Bond. He is scheduled to appear in GA 23 in New Haven on 04-19-2011 at 0900 hours.
