Sunny Weather May Turn To Rain

Areas further north may see a wintry mix overnight.

The National Weather Service says that generally dry weather is expected through tonight, but that areas further to the north and northwest of Madison and Clinton might see a light wintry mix changing to light rain or freezing rain overnight Wednesday to Thursday.

"A frontal system will impact the region late Wednesday through Thursday evening with only light precipitation expected," the NWS says.

Wednesday Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. South wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of rain after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Rain likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 54. South wind between 8 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers before 1am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 43. West wind between 6 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.
