Spring Snow: Gorgeous Or Good Riddance? (With Video)

Do You Agree With Frank Or Neal? Either Way, Most Of It Is Gone, Thanks To The Sun; More Good Weather Is Forecast For The Rest Of the Week

Thursday morning Madison awoke to the results of an overnight snow shower and once again, we found ourselves having to clear off our cars before driving to work. While it was pretty, those of us who have endured numerous snowstorms all winter are pretty tired of the white stuff.

Most people I spoke with this morning had three words for me, “I hate snow.” It’s spring. We’d rather go to the beach or play golf than shovel more snow.

I headed over to Madison Country Club to talk with the golf pros there about how the snow might have messed up their plans for the day and imagine my surprise when I found someone who was actually excited to see the snow.

Head golf pro Frank Carta, happily working on renovations to the pro shop, just got back from Florida and was actually happy to see the white stuff this morning.

Sure, Frank, it’s pretty. But those of us who’ve been here all winter probably are more apt to agree with assistant pro Neal Nyland, who said “it’s time for it go. It’s spring now.”
