Share Your Parade, Fireworks, Cookout, Party, Hanging Out At The Beach Photos!

Thanks to Ellen, Tammy, Brian, Frank, Mark, George, Ana, Sophia, and Sarah who already shared theirs!

Well, it was once again another fabulous parade in Madison. The veterans, our high school kids, Paco the police dog, the zombies from the Madison Arts Barn. Madison truly has it all.

Thanks to the Madison Exchange Club and Mike Catalano, Parade Chairman, for their work on the parade. And they do more than put on parades. Here's some information about the group:

The is an all volunteer civic club of dedicated men and women working together to make our Connecticut shoreline a better place to live and to prevent child abuse.  We organize and fully fund the Madison Independence Day Parade,  the Easter Egg Hunt at the Surf Club, numerous youth awards such as Youth of the Month/Year & A.C.E., the Freedom Shrines, Child Abuse Prevention Centers and many other community services.

Got this message on Twitter from Karen:  @MadisonCTPatch "Lets not forget to Thank the Police Officers who also have to go to work on this holiday so everyone is safe at the parade."

Yes! Thanks to the Madison police, Madison Police Chief Jack Drumm and the town's Fire Marshal Samuel E. DeBurra, Jr, the members of Madison Hose Co. No. 1, the members of the North Madison Volunteer Fire Co., town employees and others who are working today to keep us safe while we celebrate.

Looking forward to the fireworks tonight. Thanks to the who made them possible!

When it comes to having fun, I want to see what you're up to! You are welcome to share your parade, fireworks, cookout, party, hiking photos. Whether it's the beach, the next-dor-neighbor's house, or your own backyard, let's see it! Thanks to Brian and Ellen, who uploaded photos already! Love 'em!

Hope you had a happy and safe day!

Not only was this my first Madison 4th of July parade but it was also my first time marching in it with the Scranton Library. Many thanks to the Madison Exchange Club for making this an extraordinary experience - the event was well-run and organized! Also big thank yous to my wonderful staff, trustees, and library members who marched with me - I couldn't do this without your amazing support! Already looking forward to next year! - Beth Crowley, Scranton Library Director

Hi Beth. It was great to see the library in the parade, along with many other new faces. The Exchange Club did a great job this year getting a wide range of people and groups involved. And thanks for your related post on your participation. It's much appreciated.

Hopefully next year, they won't allow the politicians to campaign during the parade

I was at the Madison CT parade yesterday and saw Daria Novak riding in an open car with signs that said Vote for Daria for congress. Did I miss something or did she lose once already to Chris Coutu? Can someone please explain why she needs to split the vote, is it sour grapes?

Sitting on the beach in front of the Madison Beach Hotel was a prime spot to view the spectacular fireworks show! It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful they are able to light up the sky for this once a year celebration! Thanks to each and everyone who made this show possible.

Thanks to all who make Madison a great town. If ever there's a day to feel the goodness, it's 4th of July. The wonderful friends, families, police department, shopkeepers and all kinds of local folks we've known over the years make our town a very special place to live. As we sit at our beaches, walk through our town, stopping to chat with friends or smile at familiar faces, I can't hep but be grateful for calling Madison our hometown. Wow! Thank you!!

I AGREE! Our experience yesterday made my husband and I all the more excited to be moving our family here. The next three weeks can't go by fast enough until we are officially Madison residents!

Since moving to Madison 11 years ago, Independence Day has become my favorite day of the year. A big thanks for everyone and anyone who helped make it happen. Even the rain knew better than to mess with this spectacular day!
