Oh No. More Snow? Really?

The National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory Through 10 a.m. Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through 10 a.m. Thursday for southern New Haven county and coastal Connecticut, and is predicting "another round of wintry weather."

Potential hazards include "moderate snow" mixed with sleet and rain Wednesday evening. Accumulations could be as high as two to four inches, with the highest accumulations on grassy surfaces, the National Weather Service says.

"Another round of snow will move across the area this evening," the NWS says. "The steadiest snow will fall between 8 p.m. and midnight. Light snow will linger into the morning."

Hazardous road conditions could result, the NWS says. "Expect hazardous road conditions to develop as temperature drop to near freezing, allowing for a slushy accumulation," the service said. "Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. And use caution while driving."
