Metro-North New Haven Line Trains Ordered to Stop

Grand Central Terminal "lost control" of the line.

MTA Spokeswoman Marjorie Anders told Patch the train stoppage was due to a "power control problem in Manhattan."

"We should be back in business by 4:21," Anders said. 

Anders said the MTA expects a half-hour delay on New Haven Line trains, but would not elaborate.

All Metro-North New Haven Line trains have been ordered to stop at the next station they reach and wait, according to a broadcast from the Rail Traffic Control Center in Grand Central Terminal. The announcement said the control center has “lost control” of the line.
