Make Sidewalk Chalk!

Another in in a summer-long series of things to do with the kids!

For this project, you will need empty toilet paper or paper towel tubes, plaster of Paris (found in any harware store, usually in the paint area) and food coloring or powdered tempera paint (found in craft stores).

Mix one cup plaster to ¾ cup of water.

Add food coloring or powdered tempera paint. Fill the tube with the mixture, working quickly, as the mix sets up fast!

Let it set overnight and peel away the paper.
