Police provided the following summary:

Madison Police were called to Donahues’ Restaurant/Bar on June 16, 2012 at 1:07 a.m. following the report of a fight and the discharge of a firearm. Initial investigation revealed that Foy had been involved in an altercation with other patron(s). After restaurant employees intervened, Foy left the establishment, obtained a firearm from his vehicle and fired a shot in the direction of a restaurant employee.

Foy subsequently fled the scene and was located a short time later by Madison Police officers. Foy was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered by police. Foy is currently being held at Madison Police Headquarters on a $200,000 bond. Minor injuries were reported.

Police said Foy's last known address is 949 Boston Post Road, Madison, the location of the Tidewater Inn, a popular bed and breakfast establishment near the center of the town's restaurant and retail district.

Victoria Kolyvas, the innkeeper at Tidewater, who has owned the inn since 2005 said that it was her understanding that Foy is a relative of the former owners of the inn and may have lived there prior to 2005.

"Oh my goodness, no," she said when asked if Foy was staying there."He has no connection here at all. He is not a current resident here, and has not been a resident since 2005. We have a full house right now and he is not registered here."
