National Weather Service Says Some Areas May Be Prone To Flooding With Rainfall Amounts Of Up To An Inch An Hour

The National Weather Service is predicting torrential rain and thunderstorms tonight, with a possibility of hail and gusty winds.
"Thunderstorms will produce torrential rain, hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning through early tonight with the approach of a weakening front," the National Weather Service said. "A few storms could produce severe hail or wind damage."

The forecast for the rest of the weekend and early next week is as follows:
Tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7pm and midnight, then a slight chance of showers after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southwest between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. East wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
