Letter To The Editor: Less than 1 Percent ... "Vote YES YES"

To The Editor:
The Madison Board of Finance has put forward well crafted budgets with a less than 1% increase that provide adequate funding to support town and school services while absorbing the increased debt burden. At the same time they were able to restore some of the funding that was cut from reserve funds last year. These budgets fund ongoing town and school services while minimizing taxes and without short-changing our reserves or our long-term fiscal health. The budgets deserve strong public support. Mark you calendar and vote YES YES at the May 17 referendum.
