MADISON

Home for the Holidays Boutique, 43 Bradley Rd, Madison. Sale will be open on Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

GUILFORD

Guilford Art Center announces its annual Artistry Holiday Sale of Fine Craft & Art, 411 Church St, Guilford. One-of-a-kind, handmade crafts by hundreds of artists from across the country will be featured at this annual event, including ceramics, candles, glass, jewelry, fiber, ornaments, stationery, leather goods, toys, specialty foods, and more.  Scores of new artists will be included in the show this year, with a strong representation of participants from Connecticut and the shoreline area.  All proceeds from Artistry benefit the exhibiting artists and Guilford Art Center’s educational and community programs. Artistry hours are Monday through Sunday 10am-6pm, Thursday 10am-8pm.

CHESTER

CT River Artisans Holiday Show, Connecticut River Artisans Cooperative, Inc., 5 West Main Street , Chester.  Friday, December 2 Reception at 5-8pm. This reception will be in conjunction with Chester's Townwide Holiday Night, which includes the Annual Tree Lighting and Caroling. Some of this year's Holiday exhibitors include Lucille Scelfo of North Branford. Lucille designs Hand painted, Marbled 100% Silk scarves, men's ties and other accessories. Amber Golanski, of East Hampton, is a new Holiday exhibitor with her original, hand-dyed toddler clothing. The Bunny Barn designs are all originals. Barbara Delicata, of Higganum, is a returning Pottery exhibitor. Her bowls and plates have been popular items.

Are you having an event and want to get it onto Patch? It is super easy! First, make sure you are a registered user on your local Patch (the sign up button is in the top right corner of the home page).

Once you are signed up, look for the calendar in the top middle of the home page. Click the “post your own event” button. Fill in all the boxes and click “post my event” at the bottom. If your location is out of town, type in the whole address (84 High St., Westerly, R.I. for example) and then the locator map will work. You can post your upcoming event immediately – it will be added to the calendar right away so folks have a good heads up that something is coming up. The more notice the better! If you have photos or video, feel free to add.

If your event is of regional interest, after you upload it please send the editor the link and they will add it to our other sites so you don’t have to keep cutting and pasting.
