Exotic Creatures, Birds Of Prey, Reptiles, And Atlatl Planned For Schumann Series

Presentations at Hammonasset Beach State Park will take place on four consecutive Fridays in August at 7pm; Free admission to the park is available after 6:30 p.m.

The Schumann Series of presentations and shows will take place for the 5th year at Hammonasset Beach State Park, starting Aug. 5th for four consecutive Friday evenings at the Meigs Point Nature Center.

The presentations honor Madison resident Robert Schumann, an avid birder, a former member of the board of the National Audubon, and strong supporter of Friends of Hammonasset.

Light refreshments will be provided.

  • August 5th at 7PM Live Birds of Prey Presentation by A Place Called Hope-Todd Secki and Christine Cummins-Secki
  •  August 12th  at 7PM   Live Reptile Show by Russ Miller, Director of Meigs Point Nature Center
  •  August 19th at 7PM  Demonstration and instruction of the Atlatl by Gary Nolf of the World Atlatl Association and Friends of State Archaeology
  •  August 26th  at 7PM Live Exotic Creatures presented by Beardsley Zoo
