Capt. Jonathan Pardo of the Madison Police Department said they anticipate no problems with the rally.

"They contacted the chief early on, they have been proactive in their communication with us, and we will have the normal police presence in town" Saturday, Pardo said. "The shift is aware, and we will have a full complement on duty but we don't expect any problems."

Pardo said there will be no road closures either. The former school is at Academy and School streets.

Organizers say their group are not planning to pitch tents or camp out.

“There are a great number of people in Madison who feel like their votes don’t count as much and they want to see a change in the political system,” Madison resident Bennett Pudlin told the New Haven Register.
