Christmas Inn Madison Tour Sunday To Benefit Madison Food Pantry

Inns will be decked out for the holidays, and a horse-drawn wagon with a footman will whisk you from door to door; This is just one of several holiday events this weekend.

 

Two Madison CT bed and breakfast inns are opening their homes to the public this Sunday, December 4, 2011, from 2 to 5 pm, for a Christmas Holiday house tour, to benefit the Madison Food Pantry.

See the splendor of the shoreline this holiday season as you tour the historic inns of Madison CT.  The Scranton Seahorse Inn and the Tidewater Inn will regale you with their breathtaking beauty, unique charm and festive holiday décor.  Meet the innkeepers as they share the special history of each home.  Enjoy hot cider and sing the sounds of the season as you ride between the Madison Center inns in a horse drawn wagon.

Two B&B’s are included – the Scranton Seahorse Inn and the Tidewater Inn, both in Madison Center, on the Boston Post Road. Volunteers from the Madison Food Pantry will be on hand to greet all visitors. There will be a horse-drawn wagon with a footman from Foxglove Farm of Lyme CT for rides between the Scranton Seahorse Inn and the Tidewater, with hot cider on board.

The inns will be all decked out for the holidays, each in their own unique style.  The inns’ personal ornaments and accessories will also be complemented by the handiwork of several local businesses which are helping with or adding to the displays and thus able to feature what they can do to decorate your home for the holidays.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. They may be purchased in advance or on the day of the tour at either of the two inns.  Everyone is asked to also please bring a “Christmassy” canned or non-perishable food item to donate to the Madison Food Pantry.

 

Madison businesses partnering with the inns for this event include Walker Loden, The Audubon Shop and Madison Flower Shop and Garden Center, along with Christensen Landscaping Services of Northford CT.
