Dig Into Reading at the Durham Library!

Summer Reading for Kids, Teens, and Adults at the Durham Public Library

Explore all things underground this summer during the Durham Library Summer Reading Program — from July 1 to August 10!

A new feature of the Summer Reading program this year is the online registration and book logging program which is provided by the Connecticut State Library. Reading programs and prizes are available for preschoolers, school-aged children, teens, and adults. Children can earn weekly awards for reading, while teens and adults earn raffle tickets for fabulous prizes. To register, visit the Durham Public Library website at www.durhamlibrary.org and click on the link for Summer Reading. Or go directly to the registration page by going to: www.tinyurl.com/DurhamPL. Registration is open now; book logging will begin July 1st.

The library will also be hosting numerous programs for children, teens and families this summer. Investigate fossils at the Fossil Factory program or learn some new recipes at Teen Cuisine. There will be stories and crafts, movies and concerts, and, of course, lots of books! For a full list of programs visit www.durhamlibrary.org and visit the Kids Programs or Teens Programs pages. Or stop by the library to pick up a brochure. Our summer reading programs are sponsored by the Durham Library PALS. Registration is open for all programs. To register for individual programs, or for more information, please visit the library or call (860) 349-9544.
