Spring Sing-Along to Benefit CT Shoreline Soup Kitchen

Music Together of the River Valley Presents "Inch By Inch, Row By Row" - A Spring Sing-Along on March 29, 2014 to Benefit CT Shoreline Soup Kitchen, Common Good Gardens. In celebration of Sing With Your Child Month, local Music Together center, Music Together of the River Valley, will present “Inch By Inch, Row By Row,” a family sing-along concert on March 29, 2014 at 10:00AM at Grace Church in Old Saybrook to benefit the Connecticut shoreline soup kitchen, Common Good Gardens. The special event will feature live musical performances by Music Together teachers, local bands, and special guests. The event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10.00 per family. “March is Sing With Your Child Month because spring is a time of year symbolizing rebirth and growth, which reminds us of our most precious resource – our children – and what better way to celebrate this time of transformation than enriching the lives and overall development of our children through music and movement,” says Jessica Nevins, Center Director of Music Together of the River Valley. “To watch a child blossom and grow in a musically rich environment and to see first hand how making music as a family creates everlasting bonds between parents and children is truly amazing.” A pioneer in early childhood music and movement education since 1987, Music Together is an internationally recognized music and movement program for families. Music Together’s research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement and is based on the recognition that all children are musical. A Music Together class is a community of children and caregivers sharing songs, playing instruments, chanting rhythms, and moving in a relaxed, playful, and non-performance-oriented setting. The upcoming 10-week Spring Session with Music Together of the River Valley will begin on April 7, 2014 and online registration is open.
