The Third annual Beachcombers Night, a benefit for Operation Music Aid, is Thursday night starting at 5:30 p.m.

For your $10 donation, you receive secret sales, live music, wine and beer tastings plus chances to win big prizes including a guitar signed by John Cafferty.

The Madison Wine Shope has announced it will have a Beachcomber Night Aviation Cocktail Bonanza Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Noah King-Smith from Slocum and Sons Distributing will be using his talents as a mixologist on Thursday evening. He will make Aviation cocktails, a classic cocktail from the 20's and 30's, using Broker's Gin. Come try some classic cocktails and cucumber sandwiches.

And, speaking of John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, he will be featured at a free concert on the Grassy Strip in front of the Madison Beach Hotel, also on Thursday night. Open to Shoreline area neighbors and hotel guests of all ages, the GRASSY STRIP Music and Art Series is a complimentary celebration of live music performances along with a selection of regional artisans including painters, potters, jewelers, woodcrafters and a variety of others showcasing their talents.

On August 16th, the Madison Beach Hotel welcomes John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, the popular 1980’s American rockers from Narragansett RI. Their single "On the Dark Side," appeared at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. "On the Dark Side" also held number-one on the Album Rock Tracks chart for five weeks. Cafferty will perform a line-up of his singles with a full band.

Music lovers are invited to come enjoy American rock n' roll from
John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band while they stroll through the displays from local artisans.

August 23rd: Amber Rubarth
Amber Rubarth is a singer-songwriter and composer, will be performing her line-up of her melodic tunes with a full band. Rubarth, who has become a fixture in New York's indie scene, was named "#1 Best of NYC Songwriter," by Deli Magazine last year and grand prize winner of NPR's Mountain Stage New Song Contest.

August 30th: The FIXX
The FIXX may very well be the most significant international popular music act to perform in Madison, CT. The multi-platinum selling band of such hits as "One Thing Leads to Another", "Red Skies", and "Are We Ourselves?" have just released their 11th studio album – Beautiful Friction -- and are supporting the album with a tour of the U.S. Cy Curnin, lead singer and songwriter for the band, is personal friends with Lou Carrier, President of Distinctive Hospitality Group, which manages the Madison Beach Hotel.
