This Sunday is Veterans Day. Please take the time to thank our Veterans for their service. Town and Chamber offices, as well as most banks and Scranton Library are closed Monday in observance of the holiday.

A great way to pay tribute to our Veterans is by attending Ann Nyberg's "Celebrate Our Veterans" event at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, Nov. 10, 11am-5pm.  Click here for more details. 

All are invited to attend the annual Veterans Day tribute on Sunday, November 11 at 11am at the flagpole near the Green  This year, we are honored to have Under Secretary of Defense Maj. General Raymond Palumbo speak.

Church Fairs!This is the weekend of Church Fairs in Madison - please be sure to visit St. Margaret's Church, the First Congregational Church and the Lutheran Church of Madison to stock up on wonderful handmade crafts, Christmas decorations and delicious home-bake goods.  All three churches have their halls decorated for the holidays and are chock-full of goodies.

Annual Gala to benefit Madison Cares/Habitat for Humanity

Madison Cares is dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing through community participation that includes financial support, volunteer labor and leadership for local, national and international Habitat for Humanity builds.

The Hearth at Tuxis Pond will be sponsoring a Wreath Decorating Contest and invite businesses, individuals and family members to sponsor and decorate a wreath for The Hearth at Tuxis Pond to auction off December 9th.  All proceeds will be donated to Operation: Music Aid, which provides musical instruments to wounded military personnel to aid in their recovery.

If you are interested in participating, please pick up an undecorated wreath at The Hearth at Tuxis Pond (100 Bradley Road), decorate it, and return it to them by November 28th. Be creative!  Prizes will be awarded for Best Holiday Spirit, Best Themed and Most Creative.  They will display the decorated wreaths throughout our community from December 3rd to December 9th . On December 9th, from 1pm-4pm, they invite the community to a holiday party to enjoy music, refreshments and to bid on the wreaths. Please join the Hearth at Tuxis Pond in supporting our military by raising money for Operation: Music Aid.
