Spring Fashion Blooms in Downtown Madison

Madison Fashion Affair to benefit local high school students.

Spring fashions graced the runway at the 2nd Annual Madison Fashion Affair at the Madison Art Cinema Thursday evening.  Presented by the Madison Chamber of Commerce along with many of its members, the evening shined with beautiful clothing and accessories all available at local retailers.

Festivities began with each guest receiving a swag bag filled with coupons, gifts and certificates from participating Chamber members, and best of all, a brightly colored pashmina wrap.

Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and wine while they chatted and perused the silent auction items made available by local merchants in the theater lobby.  After which, they settled into one of the theater rooms transformed into a fashion runway show.  The DJ cued up the music and Sonia Baghdady, of WTNH, playfully strutted down the theater aisle in a Missoni inspired peach mini dress, courtesy of Ciao Bella Moda, Int’l, ready to emcee the fashion benefit.

Bright colors and prints claimed the catwalk from these Madison retailers:  Angie Lu Tailors, Asiye’s Boutique, Attitude Plus, bellaPerlina, Ciao Bella Moda, Int’l, Coco’s of Madison, The Country Shop, Everthine Bridal Boutique, Given Fine Chocolates, Jolie Boutique, Khaki & Black, Maggies of Madison, and Opticare Eye Health &Vision Center.

The Madison Fashion Affair benefits the Chamber of Commerce’s Scholarship program which will provide scholarships to two graduating Daniel Hand High School students who plan to pursue a business degree.  It also funds the Entrepreneur Challenge which grants funds to high school students who are starting their own business.
