Savvy Tea Leaving Station Square, Moving To Boston Post Road In Madison

Focus will be exclusively on tea; hot tea, iced tea, and smoothies. Tea tastings will continue. Impending rent increase forces move from current location, owners say in email newsletter.

The owners of Savvy Tea announced Friday morning in an email newsletter to customers that they are moving from the current location in Station Square to 693 Boston Post Road, closer to the center of the town's restaurant and retail district.

The letter was as follows:

We're Brewing Big Changes for Our Four-Year Anniversary!

We're Moving

We Are Moving to a More Convenient Location!

693 Boston Post Road, Madison
Right in the center of town
Opening November 1st

We Are Focusing Exclusively on Tea!
In addition to our full line of specialty artisan teas, come in for Hot Tea, Iced Tea and Smoothies!

Our tea tastings will continue every Saturday afternoon.

We are still your destination for loose tea-bring in your tins for your refill purchases.

The reason for our move, sadly, is an impending rent increase.  Our large space already commanded a very hefty monthly rent, and that withstanding, coupled with no walk-by traffic, hard to find location, signage restrictions, minimal parking and much more, we decided to move on.  We've put our heart, soul and money in our current location, but we have decided to get back to our "tea roots".

While our doors at 28 Durham Road close at the end of the month, we look forward to continuing to offer, in our NEW space, the healthy benefits that tea offers to our community of passionate tea drinkers who share an appreciation for the complexities of tea and feel enlightened by the tea experience.  We are really excited about our move downtown and we thank you in advance for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Phil & Judy
