Bob McCandlish, a licensed massage therapists from Hands On Expressions Massage, said he is excited to be taking part in the evening's festivities.
"Innkeepers Mike Hafford, Bill Speed and I will be at the Scranton Seahorse Inn just across from the library. I will be giving chair massages for a suggested $5 donation for the cause, Bill will be playing piano outside and refreshments will be served!" McCandlish said. "Come by while you enjoy the night and all this great town has to provide. You will meet great people, pick up some cool items and help a group to continue making this world of ours a more beautiful, sustainable place. Make plans to drop by and say hello!"
McCandlish said merchants and restaurants are raising awareness and money for the Friends of Hammonasset, a "not for profit" 501(c)(3) volunteer organization, that works in cooperation with State and local park management and the Friends of Connecticut State parks. Their purpose is to provide environmental education, preserve the integrity of the park’s natural resources, and serve as an advocate for the park.
