Madison's Lisa Nee Producing "My Best Idea" On iVillage

Sharing ideas about how to make life more manageable and fun. Check it out, and submit your own best ideas.

Madison mom Lisa Nee is always looking for great ideas that make life easier.

And so Nee, who also is a television producer, was the perfect choice when it came to producing a new series for iVillage called My Best Idea. Nee began her career in television at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.  She went on to work at CBS in Washington, DC and was Director of Original Programming at Lifetime Networks. She now owns her own production company Allen/Nee Productions.

Nee says My Best Idea is about real people who share their best ideas to make life more manageable and fun.

“I thought this would be a fun and meaningful show for iVillage users, who are mostly women, because I always felt the best ideas I got were from the real women in my life," Nee said. "We try to include ideas that are 3 steps or less and uncomplicated. You will never see '12 Steps To The Perfect Victorian Birdhouse' on My Best Idea.

Some of the upcoming segments include:

  • On the go gift-wrapping kit for your trunk
  • Iceless Icepacks
  • Salad in a Jar
  • Easiest Baby books ever

Look for three other Madison residents to appear on My Best Idea in the near future.  Joan Walker, a Madison mom and one of the town's selectmen, will share her trick on how to always be ready with a nicely marinated entre’.  Sarah Kyrcz, another Madison mom who works in the town schools and writes for Madison Patch, has a twist on how to take the stress out of dinner prep. Debbie Helgeson, a Madison resident who is always baking up a storm, has a fun way to transport baked goods.

“The best thing about producing My Best Idea is that all of these ideas being shared really do make my life more manageable and fun," Nee said "That’s a real bonus for me."
