We are looking for a talented Director of Sales who understands the independent resort hotel environment. The ideal Director of Sales candidate will exhibit superior leadership skills, and have previous independent resort hotel experience and acumen for establishing relationships in a coastal Connecticut community. We are seeking a motivated, dedicated, energetic, and enthusiastic sales professional. The Director of Sales is responsible for the overall sales and revenues of the hotel. This candidate will be creative with a focus on developing new business, supervise and develop staff, communicate with all departments regarding sales and revenues relevant to each department (rooms, food, beverage, spa). Responsibilities include but are not limited to - create and implement marketing strategies; lead the sales effort in accordance with the standards, philosophy and culture of the hotel; establish and maintain rate integrity through group, transient and corporate strategies; focus on revenue generation in the social and corporate catering segments; solicit corporate and travel agency accounts; prospect, develop and cultivate key accounts, develop and maintain annual sales plans, supervise account development and management.
