Madison Beach Hotel Kicks Off Brunch By The Beach Sunday, Aug. 5

A farm-to-table brunch menu with a classic Atlantic Northeast twist, a view of Long Island Sound, and local musicians Ric Cunningham and Joe Grieco too! The hotel says it hopes to see both hotel guests and local area residents stop by to check it out.

Madison Beach Hotel is now offering a special weekly Sunday brunch at The Wharf Restaurant, at the Madison Beach Hotel.

Designed for both hotel guests and local area residents, hotel officials say Executive Chef John Cortesi has created a "delectable" brunch menu featuring farm-to-table cuisine with a classic Atlantic Northeast twist

"Brunch-goers can enjoy savory cuisine while taking in stunning views of the Long Island Sound, as well as  live jazz entertainment provided by local musicians, Ric Cunningham on saxophone and Joe Grieco on keyboard," the hotel said in a prepared release.

The hotel provided the following information about the brunch:

The experience begins with a display of freshly baked croissants, banana bread, tea breads, and bagels accompanied by assorted jams and jellies before moving on to one of many brunch inspired displays.

Continuing with the meal, The Wharf will offer a vibrant salad display featuring fresh Tomato and Mozzarella Salad, crisp Garden Salad, Asian Chopped Salad, and a divine Grilled Vegetable Salad piled high with seasonal veggies. In addition to the fresh vegetable selections, there will be five “Stationary Displays” featuring amuse-bouche options including Imported and Domestic Cheese, Seasonal Fruit and Berries, Smoked & Poached Salmon, Baked Brie en Croute, and Vegetable Crudités. There will also be a towering raw bar decorated with fresh clams, oysters, shrimp, and crab claws, served with cocktail sauce, mignonette and lemon.

At the “Carving Station,” The Wharf will offer hand-sliced Slow Roasted Prime Rib with au jus and horseradish cream, flavorful Roasted Turkey Breast with cranberry chutney and juicy Lamb Steamship with a spicy harissa aioli.

For breakfast-inspired entrées, highlights include: Eggs Benedict, Bacon, Sausage, Seafood Newburg, Baked Chatham Cod, Roasted Garlic Chicken, al dente Cheese Tortellini, as well as a starch vegetable option.

For those who prefer eggs, the “Omelet Station” is a must. Chefs will be on-hand to assemble personalized Omelets with fluffy eggs and a selection of freshly chopped add-ins including ham, onion, tomato, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and cheese for guests to choose from.

After devouring a fill of brunch fare, The Wharf invites diners to visit two final destinations: the decadent “Dessert Display” and the “Chocolate Station.” At the “Dessert Display,” indulge in: assorted Mini Tarts, Chocolate Petit Fours, Mini Carrot Cakes, Mini Orange Cakes, assorted Mini Cheesecakes; Whipped Cream Cake topped with berries; Chocolate Cream Pie; and Peach Crisp. The “Chocolate Station” offers delicious chocolate-dipped confections like Chocolate Covered Fruit, assorted Truffles and moist Chocolate Cake Pops for a sweet finale to a day of fine dining along the shoreline.

I have been hard on the hotel - okay - hate the decor but I'm over it now. I frequent it often and really feel that their efforts are paying off and it is a tremendous benefit for our area. I have business's lunches and family dinners there and will now will check out the brunch. I can only hope, in time, their service in the dining room will match the prices.

It would be nice if the average Madison residents could afford to frequent the new restaurant. Even having just a drink apiece ( 4 people) was $40, Higher than many establishments.
