Madison Beach Hotel Announces Opening On March 15, 2012

Eighty Jobs To Be Filled; "We want to be the best place to work in the state."

Ric and Dawn Duques, owners of the newly constructed luxury property Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, Connecticut, announced that the 33-room beachfront resort will be open for full service to guests on March 15, 2012.

“We’re nearing the final stages of completion of our restaurants and bars, our guest rooms, and our fitness center, spa, and boutique.  Our banquet facilities are already operational.” said Ric Duques, in a prepared release.  “We are presently working very hard to ensure that each element is perfect, that we are creating a world-class destination that will offer our guests unparalleled experiences that will include the very best in dining, lodging, and guest services.  Our mission is that the Madison Beach Hotel will be the finest and most environmentally friendly, family-owned hotel and special event facility in the state. We plan to be a source of pride to our Madison community and to the state of Connecticut. In order to reach that level of service, we have determined that the best time for us to open for full operation will be mid-March.  We will continue to host the memorable private events we have scheduled throughout this summer and fall and will do so with the quality, service, and passion we’ve been entrusted to provide.”

Ric and Dawn Duques are longtime homeowners in Madison, as are most of Ric’s family members.  In fact, his parents met in Madison and then continued to bring their children there each summer.

“Summer was the highlight of each year for us,” said Duques, who spent his time with family and friends, enjoying the Sound, and working as a caddy at the golf course.  “We’ve given our children and are now giving our grandchildren those same wonderful experiences and memories.  Madison has offered us so much.  Providing the town with this new and very special hotel is one way of saying thank you.”

“Also, the Madison Beach Hotel will offer up to 80 new jobs to the area”, Dawn Duques said, “Not only do we want to be the best destination in CT, we want to be the best place to work in the state, as well.”

The hotel has been hosting weddings and events on the weekend, with the help of temporary certificates of occupancy issued by the town. Hotel management originally had hoped the project would be completed earlier this year. The old hotel was torn down in 2009 to make way for the new hotel.

The hotel does not yet have its permanent certificate of occupancy. Room reservations and special event planning for the March 2012 opening will begin Monday, September 12, 2011. (203) 245-1404.

The hotel is located in the coastal town of Madison, CT, and will feature 33 oceanfront rooms and suites, two restaurants, and private event space for up to 250 guests, all with water views.

It also will offer a spa, a fitness center, a gift shop, and a relaxation lounge. The property is managed by Distinctive Hospitality Group of Natick, MA (508) 903-1519.
