Kerry Boys At The Library Sunday. Leprechaun Five Miler And Fashion Affair Coming Up

From the Madison Chamber of Commerce, here's a heads-up on what's happening.

Message from the Madison Chamber of Commerce:

March is here, Spring begins in 18 days, clocks move ahead in 8, and daffodils are already blooming!  Madison's shops have lots of Spring inventory in; what better way to spend a rainy Saturday than browsing, having lunch or dinner in one of our great restaurants, or taking in an Academy Award winning movie at our Cinema?  If you don't believe us, check out the March/April issue of Yankee Magazine, which carries a very flattering story about the area, and Madison in particular.  To read it on line, just click here and read the article, which starts on page 34.

Dee, dee, dee! March, of course, also means St. Patrick's Day!  Check out The Kerry Boys this Sunday, March 4th at the Scranton Library at 1:30.  They'll be singing traditional Irish ballads and will invite you to sing long with pub favorites.  This event is free, but reservations are suggested byclicking here

Register today for the 10th Annual Women's Health Conference scheduled for March 4th at the Omni Hotel.  Enjoy a Day For You with free health screenings, expo & marketplace and 24 interactive presentations around health and wellness.  Mary Jane Minkin, OBGYN and Certified Menapause Clinician, will present as the keynote speaker during a gourmet lunch for all to enjoy!  Register by calling the Women and Family Life Center at 203-453-5051 or visit their website for more information.

Speaking of St. Patrick's Day, the Exchange Club's Leprechaun 5 Mile Run will be held on Sunday, March 18 at the Surf Club.  For more information on registering or volunteering, please click here

The Madison Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with its fashion members to present the second annual Madison Fashion Affair on Thursday, March 29 from 4:30-7pm at the Madison Art Cinemas. Last year's event was a resounding, sold-out success, raising $5,000 for the Chamber's scholarship fund.

Emceed by WTNH News Channel 8's Sonia Baghdady, this high style event will benefit the Chamber's Scholarship program. We'll kick off the evening at 4:30pm with a wine and hors d'oeuvres as guests peruse the silent auction. Attendees will then be guided into the theater to catch a glimpse of Spring fashions as models display clothes and accessories available at local Madison retailers and Chamber members. After mingling with models and friends, guests will then leave with a goodie bag containing a spring-colored pashmina wrap as well as exclusive coupons and and certificates for use at select merchants around town.  Many thanks to our Major Sponsor: Spirits of Madison, and our Event Sponsors: Ciao Bella, Essex Savings Bank, Jolie Boutique, Khaki and Black, Wanda & Ed Pellegrino of Coldwell Banker, Sonas Med Spa, Spotlite Cleaners and Bette Zollshan of Wm. Pitt Sotheby's

Tickets are $20 per person & can be purchased by clicking here or by mailing a check to the Chamber at PO Box 706, Madison 06443. Tickets are also available at Attitude Plus, bella Perlina, Ciao Bella, Coco's of Madison, Country Shop of Madison and Jolie Boutique. Space is limited.
