Job Opening: Town Of Madison Hiring New Public Works Superintendent

"The Town of Madison has a new opportunity for a Public Works professional.  Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works and Town Engineer, the Superintendent plans, schedules, coordinates and supervises all operations and administrative functions of the Highway and Solid Waste Divisions of the Public Works Department. The Town seeks an experienced manager who will provide leadership, guidance, instruction and training for a team of 11 full-time employees.  The working Superintendent must have the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; have broad knowledge of the principles and practices of the management of Highway and Solid Waste Divisions of a municipal public works department; have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal public works construction, transportation related infrastructure maintenance and repair, equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair, and related functions; and have extensive knowledge of the materials, methods, and practices essential to the construction, maintenance, and repair of roadways, bridges, sidewalks, and drainage systems."
