This is the final week of the summer Movie and Music series on the Grassy Strip at the Madison Beach Hotel. Area residents are welcome to attend and bring blankets or beach chairs to sit. Both the movies and music are free and open to the public.
On Tuesday, Tangled will be featured at 8:30 p.m. on the Grassy Strip in front of the hotel:
Directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, the animated film stars Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy. The film is about the magically long-haired Rapunzel, who has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her she is about to discover the world for the first time and who she really is.
On Thursday, The Fixx will be featured on the Grassy Strip. The artists and artisans usually put their wares on display sometime after 6 p.m., with the music starting after that. Here is information about the band from the Grassy Strip website:
The FIXX may very well be the most significant international popular music act to perform in Madison, CT.
