Guilford's iThai Restaurant Getting Rave Reviews

iThai Restaurant opened it's doors last month and has been getting great reviews on sites like yelp.com. The small restaurant, located on Boston Post Road, is open for lunch and dinner, and you can even order from them online.

iThai Restaurant, at 1200 Boston Post Road, in nearby Guilford, opened it's doors on February 6, 2013. So far, customers are liking what they have to offer. So far, it looks like the restaurant has gotton some great reviews.

Here's what folks have been saying on yelp.com:

Annalise D., Guilford, CT: Guilford's third Thai restaurant is "as good as it gets!...The waitstaff and kitchen staff are friendly and attentive... Even though the restaurant was slammed, we were served in a timely manner, and our waitress always had a smile on her face...Overall, the food was excellent.  All of the vegetables were fresh and crisp.  The dishes were served fresh out of the skillet and piping hot.  Because we were seated at the counter, we saw each of our meals prepared start to finish and can attest that everything is homemade to order.

Anna E., West Hartford, CT: Everything we ordered was terrific and we cannot wait to come back here again.  The menu is diverse and includes unique dishes in addition to the more common dishes found at other Thai restaurants...

Joe C., Madison, CT: Overall iThai gets my ithumbs up and I'm looking forward to trying some of their other dishes in the near future...

Preston M., Branford, CT: We enjoyed this new little gem in the Mulberry Plaza. What a refreshing interior and decor, a little bit of retro modern in traditional Guilford. The appetizers were very well done, dumplings were crisp but not over cooked. The satay was lean and tender. My 12 yr old loved the Pad Thai. I chose the red curry which was hot but not too spicy. Staff is very attentive and pleasant. We highly recommend this new addition to Guilford!!

Kristen D., Guilford, CT: I have dined here twice at this new restaurant and I am quite impressed...the menu includes a kids section so that young families have a place to go with good food for the adults and options for kids from the all-time favorite of chicken tenders and fries to fried rice.  And BYOB as well for the adults... We will certainly come back and soon....

iThai's Facebook page has over 100 likes and customers have sent in some great feedback:

Yvonne Secki Barron: We had a really nice lunch here on Monday. The atmosphere is so cheerful, the people are helpful and friendly, and the food is great. Planning another lunch "date" tomorrow : )

George Lindsay: The food is so great. Perfect A+. Service is great. Will travel from New Haven just to eat great Thai food.

Augustus A. Roszko: A modern place with an authentic flavor. I tried about 30% of the menu and enjoyed it all. Very nice service and food.

iThai is open daily, from 11 AM to 3 PM for lunch and 4 PM to 9:30 PM for dinner. You can also order take-out from them online! Walk-in or call ahead for a reservation.

Charles, you're the one with no FACTS on your side. Obviously you did not watch the BenghaziRead More hearings recently on CSpan. I did, and the whistle blowers made it abundantly clear that there was never any question that it was an "ATTACK" by terrorists, and had NOTHING to do with a "demonstration" over a lame video, as lied about by S. Rice, Obama and HRC! They concocted this story because the truth, that Al Qaeda is NOT "defeated" or neutralized, as O claimed, would have been inconvenient for the election. It is utterly reprehensible for a president to heartlessly leave our men behind, to send NO aid or support, if only to get the bodies out--and a flyover of jets could have scared the terrorists away, as they had no idea (in advance) of how many hours or days the attack would last! Reprehensible also to lie to cover up his incompetence and detachment! You are clueless, as my assessment and Mr. Morici's have everything to do with objective job performance. Your accusations attributing personal motives are "baseless and offensive." Truth has no agenda, but you are not interested in Truth. The question is: why do you accept mediocrity--no, actually worse--from a president, and for our nation?

Why let facts get in the way right Mac? There was no military aird with in 5 hours of Benghazi.Read More Planes and soldiers were not just sitting and waiting for calls. Military doesn't work that way. The Americans who dies were at an outpost that had requested funding for security but was denied. (Guess by whom, by the way) The "talking points" have been debunked for almost a month now since it was proven that FOX news and Republicans had modified the e-mails. 4 people died in the attack, yet countless others died in Iraq and under the Bush administration during embassy attacks and the Iraq war, yet no right wing tea party outrage. Your blind hatred and jealousy for the President is baseless and offensive.

Owners really need to pick up their dog's waste. It is a major polluter of the Long Island Sound.Read More Whenever your dog drops one and you leave it, think of that fish, lobster, or shellfish you ate from the Sound! Enjoy eating your dog poop bacteria!

I'm so lucky!! For 10 years my dogs have frolicked safely in the back part of Bauer - away from theRead More roads, traffic and homes - closer to the back of the HS. I have never heard any dogs bark or 'yap', never saw a dog run into the gardens and destroy the plots, never saw a dog fight or kids being assaulted and luckily avoided all the poop they are leaving behind although I do dodge the deer pellets. My timing must be stellar to avoid all the bad dogs, their dismal behavior and threats to others. Whew!!

The whole state is tick infested. Luckily, dogs can use a product called Frontline Top Spot or itsRead More cheaper generic equivalent, which completely protects them from ticks and fleas. On the shoreline to Middletown, you should be using it on your dog year round. I once saw a deer tick crawling on SNOW in Madison near the Country School in February. The Lyme vacine is ineffective in most canines and most canines that get Lyme, shake it off in time - unlike humans. Top Spot keeps the ticks off or dead for the humans that pet the dog. Regardless, dogs running on cut grass some distance from woods or taller grass won't encounter many if any ticks. Especially if the outer perimeter of the fence is treated in spring and fall.
