From East Haven To Syracuse, They're Shopping In Downtown Madison
Our next big event downtown is Beachcomber Night on August 15th. Be sure to let your friends, in town and out of town, know!
When Nicole Saya of Syracuse, NY came to visit her friend Gina Rose Vlake, of East Haven, CT, one of the first places they went to go shopping was downtown Madison.
Vlake said she loves shopping here and, in particular, at Ciao Bella, at 698 Boston Post Road in Madison. Vlake and Saya had their eye on some cute leopard print dresses in the window.
Carlene Weis of Jolie Boutique, and a member of the Madison Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, said drawing shoppers from out of town like Vlake and Saya are essential for the the health of the shops and restaurants downtown. She said spreading the word among those who live in Madison is important as well.
"I'm always surprised when we have events like the Sidewalk Sales how many new customers we get," she said.
The next big downtown event is Beachcomber Night on August 15th. In addition to special deals at the downtown Madison retailers, there will be two local breweries on hand, along with fun food and music. Be sure to spread the word amongst your friends, in town and out of town!
