For Survivors: A Place To Go To Feel Beautiful About Being A Woman Again

After All Boutique, which will have its grand opening from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 1, is a shop that will stock fine lingerie and apparel for all women, and specialize in post-mastectomy breast forms, bras and more for women who have or have had cancer. 

The store is located at 168 Boston Post road, Unit 4, in Madison.

According to the boutique's Facebook page, the store will stock a wide range of products: 

"After All Boutique is a unique boutique for all women opening in August 2013. We specialize in serving women recovering from breast cancer by providing a full line of post-mastectomy bras, breast forms, active wear, swim wear, sleep wear, head coverings and more. In addition to lingerie, After All carries stylish and trendy apparel and accessories for every woman, including shape wear, scarves, active wear, jewelry, make-up, lotions, gifts and fun finds."

The store also is planning seminars, charitable events, and other offers related to women's health. 

Barbara Doyle, the director of marketing for Associated Medical, a related company in Guilford, said the After All Boutique is designed to be a place where women can come, not only to find something to make them feel beautiful again, but also where they can find understanding and compassion about what they've experienced. 

One of their first initiatives is going to be seeking out an artist who is a cancer survivor to paint the dressing rooms at the new boutique. Doyle said they hope to collect quotes from other cancer survivors that can be painted in the dressing room. 

"We want this to be a place that belongs to survivors, a warm place where they can be connected with others," she said.
