Five Great Deals: March 16-22

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

1. Anti-bacterial foaming hand soap $7 for 20.

Deal: I'm usually a soap is soap kind of girl but this deal is too yummy to pass up. is offering all their hand soaps 5 for $15 or 7 for $20, and believe me it was hard to narrow it down to 7.  I had to put a few back but Kristin helped me right out. I ended up with cucumber melon, fresh lime basil, fresh picked strawberries, peach bellini, watermelon, fresh picked apples and kitchen lemon.  They are having an "I Love Fragrance Event" on Saturday March 19th from 1-5pm at the Crystal Mall. Deal: Arizona Teas are 2/$1.  Revlon is 40% off everything, Kleenex is 89 cents a box.  If you walk in the door and go to the first isle in the back of the cosmetics you will always find great deals.  Look for the neon orange stickers. I got an Olay professional de-wrinkling intensive firming treatment mask for $17.25 - marked down from$68.99. I normally would never buy it and it comes with five treatments.  That's less than $3.50 a mask.  Girls night!  Also at the New London store all kinds of Walgreens nuts were $2.99 or 2 for $5.

Deal: Ground beef 85/15 $1.98 with silver coin;  $2.99 whole milk; 1lb. strawberries $1.99. Buy 1 get 1 Free: Edy's ice cream, eye round roast or steak, Purdue boneless chicken breasts and mini rose plants or crazy daisy bouquets. Bounty Basic 8 rolls-$4.99; and Yukon gold potatoes 2 for $6.

5. Wolf Den

Local favorites the Savage Brothers play the Wolf Den at on Wednesday March 16th.  Featuring three guys with the last name Savage.  I went to to Old Mystic elementary school with Les Haley and he rocks our class reunions!  We all knew he would go big or go home. Thursday, St. Patrick's Day brings 2U, a U2 tribute band and Saturday enjoy the Australian Bee Gees Show - all for free.
