Cash Mob! Great Strides! Spring Fest! Plant Sale! Celticity! All This Weekend!

From the Madison Chamber of Commerce, here's a round up of a some fun events planned for this weekend!

This weekend is jam-packed with great events in Madison that will appeal to everyone.

Coming up on Saturday, May 19:Join in the Great Strides Walk to tight Cystic Fibrosis, starting at the Madison Surf Club.  Registration is at 9am; the walk begins at 10.

The annual Fun Fair is taking place at Ryerson School, 982 Durham Road from 10am to 3pm. Come play games, join activities, and take part in community demonstrations. There will be  Fun, Food, and Friends, plus several surprise guests!   Sponsored by the Ryerson PTO, games will include How Fast can you throw, Cake Walk, Put Put, Bounce house, plus they'll be selling Hamburgers,hot dogs, chips, cotton candy etc.

The Third Annual Shoreline Spring Festival on the Town Green from 10am to 4pm begins the season of great outdoor events in Madison. It's sponsored by the Shoreline Universalist Society and features Art, Handmade Crafts, Jewelry, a Farmer's Market, Food and music by Glenn Stevens & Jazz Folks.

The Madison Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale takes place at the Deacon John Grave House lawn (81 Boston Post Road) from 9am to 2pm
The sale features Annuals, perennials, herbs, shrubs and hanging and potted plants generously donated by local Nurseries and Garden Centers.

Cash Mob at RJ Julia takes place from 2 to 5pm Saturday.  Head downtown to this iconic bookstore to help support small businesses, then be sure to continue to "Love Your Local: by visiting the other terrific shops & eateries we offer.  Click here for more information.

Sunday, May 20, The First Congregational Church of Madison's Music at the Meetinghouse presents: "Celticity" Celtic Trio Concert  at 2pm. This all-female Celtic trio offers a wide range of programs from Renaissance to traditional Celtic and today's most popular Celtic music. Perfect for any audience, and family friendly, fans of Celtic, Folk, Classical and Acoustic music will enjoy Celticity's pan-Celtic repertoire which encompasses music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany (France), Galitia (Spain), Canada and the United States, from the Renaissance to traditional favorites.
Tickets are only $10, and a reception will follow.

Monday, May 21:
Tip-a-Rotarian at Donahue's Restaurant, 1320 Boston Post Road.  Madison Rotarians are raising funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and will be working the tables from 4-9pm.  Head over for great food and a great cause!
