Boston <3 Madison!

The Boston Globe says Madison is "a picture-book coastal community with lots going on."

The Boston Globe newspaper had plenty of good things to say about Madison in its Sept. 5 issue. Correspondent Paul E. Kandarian writes:

From its shoreline to its bustling downtown and town green, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, Madison is a picture-book coastal community with lots going on. It is home to one of the country’s best independent bookstores, a restored art house cinema, the state’s largest shoreline park, a myriad of shopping opportunities at boutique stores, great restaurants from fancy to down home, and ample places to kick back and take it all in.

Madison has always been a "crossroads" of sorts for people who either visit or root for teams from both cities.

Great restaurants??? The Allegre Cafe? They serve low-grade dog food, with elderly cliental. Elizabeth’s Cafe should be on the list not Allegre.

Jon, You are being rediculously unfair to Allegre. No question Elizabeth's Cafe is a cut above Allegre (rewarded with prices a cut above as well) but Allegre is a Madison Landmark. Chef Silvio is a local "Clebrity Chef" with viisits from all the "Celbrity Chef" visiting RJ Juila and leaving behind testimonials on Chef Silvio. I have 3 children 10 and under and they visit all of the restaurants in the area including Bar Bouchée, Elizabrth's, Stone House, Quattro's etc and they love Allegre especially their Eggplant Rolotini Appitizer. So it is not just for the older set, in fact most weekday nights they have a lively bar with 30 - 40 somethings. There is no doubt when they have a full house (very large space) the food is down a notch, but when Silvio prepares your dinner, you are in for a treat.
