Why you should go right now: We like Penny Lane Pub for its warm, casual atmosphere, friendly service and diverse menu.
Got a hankering for a burger? Penny Lane offers seven types, including bison, salmon and a vegetarian option. A wide choice of substantial salads go far beyond lettuce and veggies, although one of our favorites is the chopped cob salad with smoked turkey and gouda.
Pub fare and comfort foods range from fish and chips to shepherd’s pie, liver and onions, and Mum’s Meatloaf.
The regular dinner menu offers a hard-to-choose selection of steaks, chicken and fresh seafood, but don’t overlook the daily specials. A grilled shrimp salad served over grilled native corn kernels and vegetables was a delectable winner.
Penny Lane has sidewalk seating and entertainment in the pub on Friday and Saturday evenings.
